Deleting search programs

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to
get rid of the software that searches the internet for
things, even though you never ask it to. Whenever i
search google for something. i get the Google results,
but then another page opens and gives me a set of
results.that page is called
http://results.searchscout.com i also would like to know
how you can delete the program GATOR. i have thought that
i deleted it from the add/remove programs list, but it
still has a pop-up that comes up - even though it isn't a
pop up from a webpage. once last thing. i have a tollbar
called mysearchbar and i want to get rid of that too. i
only know how to hide it.
should i run that regedit thing?

Get AD-Aware to remove spyware.
 
Yes get an adware program, there are free ones around.
Probably when you installed "My Search" bar Gator was
bundled with it. It barely mentions it in the software
agreement at the install page. I read them now, you never
know what you are installing

You have probably inadvertently downloaded and installed adware,
spyware, parasite, trojan or a browser hijacker from some web site:
