deleting registry keys in controlsets

I have upgraded my system with a new Nvidea AGP card.

I uninstalled all the old references to my ATI AIW 7500, but there
remain entries in the CurrentControlset Enum Display for NTATI* and
subkeys with reference to removed ATI files. As a result, I am getting
constant errors in my System Log as follows:

The ATI WDM Specialized PCD Codec service failed to start due to the
following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

I cannot delete the offending keys from the Current Control set as I get
errors like:

Cannot delete NTativmd22: Error While deleting key

How can I remove these entries from the registry?

Thanks
