Every once and awhile, at least once a week, my computer
wants to repair a document. (It was something someone had
on disk, but apparently it had a virus.) It then tells me
it's unrepairable and should be left in quarantine where
it won't affect the rest of the computer.

How do I delete it?

I know it's infected. It came in on a floppy disc by
someone who doesn't use the computer anymore, and I'm
tired of having to go through this process everyweek.

Thanks for your help.

Antivirus software is not part of Windows XP. If you search in the technical
support section of the web site of your antivirus software's creator you
will probably find an answer to your question.
