I'm needing to delete the "placement marks" (4 corner triangles) around a logo which is rectangular with rounde
corners. The logo is on a custom colored background and the placement corners show when I place the logo i
position

How do I delete these tips on all 4 corners of my logo

Thanks

You may need to open the logo graphic file in a draw or paint program,
depending on the type of graphic it is to begin with, and edit it there.

But first, see if you can ungroup it in PowerPoint. If PPT lets you ungroup
it, you'll be able to select the shapes that make up the placement marks and
delete them. I'd then select all the remaining shapes and group them again,
to make them easier to move all in one piece.

It will save time if you insert or copy the graphic to a new blank slide, do
all the work there, then copy it to wherever you eventually need to use it.

Thanks for your response. The logo I am importing into the PowerPoint program has already been outlined i
photoshop. It is only when I click on it to move it into position in my presentation that the 4 corner tips appear.
The logo is a jpeg to work with in PowerPoint.

Is there another way to eliminate the corner points or tips in PowerPoint

Thanks

Captain77,

I think from your description...that these 4 corner points are only an
indication to you the user, that you have clicked on this object and it is
selected.

If you zoom into the object do the 4 corner points become 8 points?

Do not worry if you click any other object these points will go away.

Also they do not print!

If the points aren't in the original file and only appear when you select
the graphic, click anywhere BUT on the graphic to de-select it. They'll go
away. They won't, in any case, appear in slide show view or on printouts.

There's no way to force them not to appear when the graphic is selected.

The tips on the corners of the logo do appear in the slide show. When I click outside the box after placement, the tips do not go away. I suspect they are an artifact of the PowerPoint program.

In that case, it's quite probably a video driver problem, what they call
"screen artifacts" ... stuff that should get erased in the next screen
redraw but doesn't.

You may just want to get in the habit of clicking off these things after you
place them to be sure this doesn't happen (assuming that this solves the
problem, that is).

Or look into video driver updates from the manufacturer of your PC or video
card.
