deleting partition

First, I have win98 installed. Then I upgraded to win2000
by installing it on the same partition as the win98
partition. I'm trying to delete this partition completely
and reinstall win2000.

I'm using my win2k cd to attempt to delete this partition
(by pressing "D"), but nothing happens. Does anyone know
why this is? Everywhere I'm reading, it's supposed to be
able to delete the partition this way. Is there any other
way to delete the partition?

This approach should work. However if it is not I
recommend that you create a 98boot disk (you can
download from the net which I do) use fdisk to delete the
partion. Once this is done you can start your
installation by booking with your CD again

Thanks for the tip.

I tried making an MS-DOS startup disk with the delpart.exe
file d/led from the web. Booted from this disk, ran
delpart, and deleted my partition in no time!

Going to do a clean install of win2000 now...
