Deleting Open File in Internet Temp File

I unwisely canceled an automatic installation from microsoft. The
installation is not stuck open in the internet temp file. I can delete all
temp files by going into %temp%, but cannot delete this open file. How can I
delete this open file. I am not able to download anything else right now.

Windows version?

"Automatic installation" of what? Was Automatic Updates or Windows Update
website involved?
