deleting names in my adress book in windows mail

how do you you delete names inwindows mail that are no longer being use or
have been put in that you don't want. I can't find any wat to delete them or
even find the option, I can get rid of the name but it just changes it to an
unknown email adress.
 
1. Open Windows Contacts by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.

2. Right-click the contact you want to delete, and then click Delete.
