I have the same problem (can't remove usernames from the
MSN sign in drop down list and cant't stop automatic
signing in upon start MSN), but in my case (XP pro.) the
solution below doesn't work. Are there alternatives?

I assume you mean from the sign in list? You can remove
Passports in the sign in list by
clicking the Start Button, then click the Control Panel.
Then, click User Accounts in the
Control Panel. Select your account name, and then on the
left side of the screen, under
Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network Passwords'. In
the window that opens, you can remove
accounts by clicking the passport you wish to delete
[denoted by (Passport)], and then click
the 'Remove' button.

i have an now unused account name in messenger v.6.
is there any way of deleting it from the system.
