deleting mail

How can I delete an incoming message without opening it? It doesn't seem to
matter if I right or left click on it. Either way it doesn't give me any
options it just opens. I would like to be able to delete some e-mails
without opening them. Is this possible?
 
Turn off the Preview Pane then delete away. SHIFT Delete to bypass the
Deleted Items folder.


View | Layout then uncheck "Use the preview pane......."

Now, set the Preview Pane as an item on the toolbar.

Right click on toolbar and select Customize

Add the Preview Pane.

Turn it on and off as needed.
