Deleting Lexmark Network Printer Ports

I have a Windows 2000 server that is only used as a Print Server. We
currently have majority Lexmark Printers, but are looking to change to
another brand. The problem is, when we try to delete the LPR ports that
they are set up on, it won't allow us to. I'm not sure if it is because
of the Lexmark Service that is running on the server or if it is just
something screwy with our server. Any help or suggestions would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If this may help, what i know about that is that before
you could delete a port you have to be sure that no
printer is attach to this port, so you delete the printer
before deleting the port or attach the printer to another
port.

thanks!
Hope this will help.
