I use Pinnicle software and have files of from 5 to 13+
Gb on my 80 Gb hard drive. I tried to delete one of the
13 Gb files and it said that the recycle bin was too
small, but it then deleted the reference to that file,
but did not remove the file. So I still have that 13+ Gb
file on my hard drive and I cannot access it to delete
it. How can I delete large files such as these?

Do you also have Norton Utilities installed? Norton will
grab the files and put them into 'protected recycle' mode
and they have to be deleted from there as well. The
surprise is that Norton defaults to about 10% of the drive
so if you do use it you might want to change the amount
reserved.

if wondows is telling you that the file is in use and
cannot be deleted, this means you need to delete the avi
handler registry key. i had this happen to me last week.
someone gave me the knowledge base link which had the reg
key to delete plus a copy of it incase you want to
reinstall it. i dont have the link - i should have saved
it though...

In Windows explorer, click on the file to delete, then
press DEL while holding down the SHIFT key. This will
delete any file without moving it to the Recycle bin.
