Deleting items from history

I seem to have some problems removing all items from the
history. I have tried clearing my history, and my
temporary internet files. But then I click on the
history button and search for items there are still a few
websites that never get deleted. How do I remove these?
They are not items that are on my desktop nor in my
favorite places. I know that those two show up when
searching. Please help. Thanks

Joe,
These are probably in the index.dat file in the History folder.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder (and the index.dat file) and a new one will be created when
you restart.
Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
