Deleting incorrectly formatted email addresses?

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this annoying problem. If I
incorrectly address an e-mail, the incorrect e-mail address stays in
my To box. The next time I send an e-mail to that person, I start
typing the e-mail address and Outlook automatically changes the
address to the wrong address, or I forget the address is wrong and
highlight it not noticing the prior error. I send it out once more and
receive it back as a "failure delivery".

I know it's not a big thing, but I would be forever grateful if
someone could tell me how to delete this wrong address from Outlook's
To Boxes' autoformat memory!

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
