Deleting History via Command Line

Is there a way to delete the history by means of a command
line switch? I would like the ability to do this in order
to run it perhaps from the scheduler, shortcut, etc. If
there isn't a command line switch, is there a specific
file or files in which I could delete to accomplish the
same results?
