I use search to find a group of files that I want to delete based on keywords
in the file name. After search turns up all files containing those words, I
do select all (control-A). But when I click on delete (under the "file" tab)
I get the message: cannot read from the source file or disk. How can I delete
groups of files at one time instead of one-by-one? Thanks.

sometimes there is a file here and there that is in use and will stop your
ctrl-a deletion. try deleting a dozen or so at a time. Try to arrange them
by file type and delete a number of them in this manner. Try to move the
groups from the file window into the recycle bin window....
