Unfortunately the server is down right now, and in case you get this
message before it's back up, here's the text:
Select Multiple Files without Copying
Most people know that you can select multiple files in Explorer by
clicking the first one, then holding down the Ctrl key while clicking
additional files. But some people see copies of all the selected
files suddenly appear when they do that. The problem is that without
realizing it, they moved the mouse pointer a tiny bit while selecting
files.
The solution is to make your mouse less sensitive. You can do this in
either of two ways:
Method 1: Run regedit and navigate to the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
Then look for the values DragHeight and DragWidth; if they're
not there, create them as REG_SZ type. The default values are 4
pixels; to reduce the sensitivity of your mouse make the values
larger, such as 20.

files to be c" [copied], posted 2005-03-22 by David Candy and

Method 2: Download and run TweakUI.[2] In the Mouse panel,
increase the number in the Drag box.
