deleting files from temp folder

Using the run command I enter %temp% to display the
contents of the TEMP folder.

QUESTION:
Are there any files that MUST remain in this forlder or
can all files in the TEMP folder be deleted.
 
Hi,

You can empty the contents of the Temp folder on a regular basis because
they serve no recurring purpose and simply take up hard drive space.

If Windows reports that a file is in use and can’t be deleted, either skip
that file or close all programs and attempt to delete the file again.
