deleting favorites

Hello! I deleted lists in favorites but the same list
keeps reappearing everytime I log on to my computer. Is
there any way to permanently remove these from favorites
and not have any thing listed under favorites unless I
specifically wanted to do so? Please help. Thank you!!!

Do you talk about the LINKS folder? Open the Favorites in the Windows
Explorer (click Favorites in the Explorer menu, hover the mouse over a
folder name in the Favorites, wait for until the subfolder has popped
up, then double-click the folder name). Find the LINKS folder,
right-click it and apply the "Hidden" attribute.
 
Thanks! When I open favorites what I see is "add to
favorites", "organize favorites", "Links" and internet
sites that I deleted previously re-appearing every time I
log on. I deleted them by going into "my computer" as
well as when connect to the internet but still they
appear when I log off turn off the computer and log on
again. What shall I do?

What sites?
You may want to check your system for viruses and spyware. For the
latter you can use the Ad-aware tool (http://www.lavasoft.de).
