Deleting Enterprise Admins Group?

Can you (and if you can what are the consequences of doing so) delete the
Enterprise Admins Group?

Can you recreate it and what groups and delegation of control do you need to
give it to give the same functionality?

If you deleted it, (I haven't tried but don't think you can) you couldn't
recreate it. It has a specific SID

Undelete or Authorative Restore is the way to resolve this.

(I've never tried deleting this group. It's interesting to see that you can

You shouldn't be able to but there are special modes you can put the directory
into to allow things you shouldn't be able to do. It is a criticalsystemobject
so is protected more than normal. I would expect there are only a few people out
of MS that would even start to know what to try to pull it off and they
obviously wouldn't do it except in a test forest.
