Maybe I'm losing it, but after writing some image files I opened DI to
delete them and couldn't find delete anywhere in the program. Help is
no good. It's only entry for delete is Deleting Backup Schedules.
Likewise DI web site has no info. Am reluctant to delete them from the
command window in case of unexpected consequences.

There is a file Drivename.sv2i. Am I right in imagining that this file
contains info on all the v2i files and should never be deleted?

Look, they're just normal files that you can delete the same way as any
other files. There's no option to delete the files in DriveImage just like
as in Word you do not find a delete file option. Why make something normal
into something problematic?

Why specifically deleting them in Drive Image since we're dealing here with
ordinary files?
It's true that there is no file deletion feature embedded in Drive Image...

You may as well delete them in the Windows Explorer...

The 3K sv2i file is an information file for the restore part. You may want
to delete it, but why should you?
