I have a Win2k Pro user that apparently at one time had a
corrupt user profile. A new profile was created and the
old one was renamed to "usernameprofile.old". Can I just
delete this folder from Windows Explorer Documents and
Settings without complications? Obviously, I cannot
delete from Control Panel as the current profile needs to
remain intact.

Thanks

Renaming the profile while logged in as a different user
works well. The next login, a fresh profile is created for
that user. Copy the user created data from MyDocs,
Favorites, Local Settings, etc.. to the new profile if the
user needs it (Dont copy the NTUSER.DAT file though). Then
you can delete the old profile without any problems.

Thank you, Steven, I appreciate it.
