I am giving my laptop to someone else in the company and want to delete all
of the items in outlook. I have gone thru and deleted all of the emails,
tasks, and notes, but cannot figure out how to delete all of the calendar
items.

Help.

One way to be sure that everything is cleaned out, I would "delete" the
personal folder file of Outlook and then let Outlook create a fresh personal
folder file for the new user. Before you delete your existing personal
folder file, back it up (save it by renaming it).

Assuming your personal folder profile is stored in your laptop.
1. Open "My Computer"
2. Navigate to "C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook"
3. Rename the "Outlook.pst" to Outlook.old"

When you launch Outlook again, it should launch the install wizard for you
to create a new personal folder profile. If everything works out, delete
the "Outlook.old" file.

Same idea. But to revert back to your question about deleting calendar
items;
-open calendar and change view to By Category

this way it is a lot easier deleting everything by CTRL+A and then SHIFT+DEL
