Deleting bad files

I have a problem left over from an earlier install of XP
Pro. It is a subdirectory of the Documents and Settings
directory. This directory was named, JCLARKE@Win2000, my
logon account to my Win2000 server. Due to a virus
getting into my computer about six months ago, I had to
reinstall everything, so I named my user account JCLARKE
but this time on my local machine name and not the server
name. I cleaned up most of the junk from the old
accounts but XP will not let me delete some of the files
from this old account directory.
Everytime I try to delete it, it keeps coming back with a
File not Found address which seems to indicate there are
lost sectors or a bad file name in these files but a re-
boot and a check with Scandisk does not find any errors
and the Fix Errors part was checked.

Not even Norton Wipe File will not get rid of it. It is
not doing anything bad but I want to get rid of it. The
part of this sub that seems to be the problem is the
Local Settings/Temporary Internet files. I checked to
see if somehow my current logon account was pointing
there and it was not.

I have tried it in safe mode, dos mode and nothing will
let me delete these files or this sub. Does anyone have
any idea what is the problem. I am not an idiot at this,
either. Thanks.
