Deleting Autocomplete entires from the Address bar list

When I delete entries from the address bar from the
history folder by using "Tools-Internet Options-General-
Clear History," not all of the addresses end up being
deleted. I have a few addresses that have been on there
for a year or so and I can't figure a way how to removed
them. Any suggestions?
