Hi, I took a 30 second video using my HP camera that has an extension of
Mpeg. I did it at a noisy carnival which when I viewed it in the pc, the
sound was horrible. I would like to remove the audio of that clip so that I
can just view the video part and maybe add my own background music in WMM-
what do you recommend (free program) thanks

Movie Maker has issues with MPEG...but
If you can open the clip in Movie Maker...
drag it to the timeline / right click the Audio
track and choose Mute.

Now...import your music file and drag it to
the Audio/Music track.

Try saving your Movie as follows:

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next / Next.
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

It worked. I am barely putting together my little project & my goal is to
save it onto a CD so that it can be played back on a PC & DVD players as
well. I know it can be seen on pc. But will the CD I copy it to be able to
be viewed on a typical mediocre DVD player?
I may note too that I also have a new camcorder that uses those mini DVD's
discs (not tapes)-
Can I copy the movie from the pc to the camcorder mini dvd disc and thus
play it on a pc & DVD player? I guess I am asking too much.
ALSO, is it better to use mp3 music rather than wav becuase of 'wavs' size?
Thanks if you can help.
