deleting and other protection idiocies

xp pro with the #2 update. Single user at home

Can't delete the "windows" file in directory "ms gaming zone" though it
is uninstalled.


I would like ALL protection things turned off and, in general, for xp
and Microsoft to leave me alone and let me run my computer the way I
want to rather than the way happy Bill says I should.

Also... how can you turn off ALL the stupid MRU list keepers?

Who decides we want to remember the last 10 things we searched for? What
for? If I found it, why would I want to search again? I just hate the
junk like this the microsoft foists on everyone.
