Deleting A User Account

I created a user account i wish to delete, but when i go into the
administrative user account in safe mode, it does not show the account i
created at all. It still recognises it as being there though, as I tried to
create an account with the same name and it recognises it as already existing.

When I log on not in safe mode, it appears on the screen.

How do i take it off?

Have you tried to delete it by using "Administrator" user (not your administrator account) in Safe Mode?
