Does anyone know how to delete a toolbar that shows up as
an option under view/toolbars? I have accidently clicked
a button on a pop up and now have an additional toolbar
in explorer that I don't want. I "uncheck" it an it
still keeps coming back.

Thanks, John

There's a chance that either
Spybot - Search & Destroy: http://security.kolla.de/
or
Ad-aware 6- Lavasoft: http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/
can remove this. Either program should be updated after download, before
use.

Or... with IE not open, run regedit and make your way to this key
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\]
Export that key (as a backup.) Look at the subkeys under that Toolbar key.
Find the unwanted subkey. Note the name of an HTM/HTML file which may be in
the right pane. Delete the unwanted subkey. Find and delete the HTM/HTML
file.

Regards,
Don

John,

Get ToolbarCop:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k

ToolbarCop removes the Toolbars, Toolbar buttons and unwanted menu-extensions from Internet Explorer. It does not remove the spyware from the system entirely.

Additionally, run Ad-Aware scan (www.lavasoftusa.com). Update Ad-Aware before scanning
