Im trying to delete a ghost terminal server printer port.

It is giving me an error like "selected port cannot be
deleted. the request is not supported.

I have exhausted all possible routes (safe ones)

any suggestions??

btw..this is on a citrix server and the port looks like
this.

Client/<computername>/<printer share>

Thanks

Hi! First of all you need to delete all prints for that
printer. Then delete the printer. If the status is
deleting but nothing happens, stop and start the spooler.

If no prints is in que, just stop and start the spooler.
And then delete the printer.

hello.

That is not the issue. the printer is gone from the
printers folder. But when you goto printer server
properties the printer is still there.

it looks like this

Client/<computername>/<printer share>

tried to delete port from there...but getting that message
"selected port cannot be deleted. the request is not
supported"

stop the spooler service and all

You may need to find the port in the registry under HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitor\<monitor>\Ports
and remove it from here. Where <monitor> is I believe for Citrix "Client Printer Port Monitor".
