I am trying to delete an errant record from a table. When I click the delete
button, I get the following message "The search key was not found in any
record". I have tried repairing the db to no avail. any help would be
appreciated.

The symptoms you describe are symptomatic of a corruption, either in the
data or in an index of the table.

Firstly make a backup copy of the database while no-one has it open, and
without overwriting any other backups. Then if your attempts to recover it
make it worse, you can revert to this state again.

Since you have already tried a compact an repair, get Access to rebuild the
table for you by following the steps for symptom 3 in this
article:
Recovering from Corruption
at:

This will give you a rebuilt table without the problem record(s). The
crucial
aspect is to NOT refer to the corrupted data row during this process.

I was being really dense and repairing my front end and not my back end. I
did that and the record was deleted. Thanks for all your help.
