There is a program in C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch
named SBDKIT.exe-065CE90A.PF
on my system.
I would like to delete it but it does not show up on
the "Add/Delete " list in the Control Panel

I would like to safely remove it so it stops sending a
notice on my desktop everytime I start the system.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Roger H

It's not a program. It just means you once ran a file with that name and windows stored a record of files it accessed so it can prefetch them for the program if you run it again. It means the program will start faster in the future. Ignore it. The program may be a setup program of some type (so you won't find it) or it may be installed - search your hard drive for it but ignore prefetch (ignore it all the time - it is a system folder and is owned by XP not you - you wouldn't want XP to delete your files, so don't delete XP's files - if you have already deleted it won't hurt anything in this case.).
