Deleting a partition

Drive Image has set up a second partition (a logical
drive) on my hard disk. I have now installed a second
HDD for back up purposes and I would like to recover and
reuse the space currently occupied by the now redundant
second partition.

Using Disk Manager it appears that I can delete a
Partition/drive:
1 Can I do this without my C drive, where all my
programmes are, being affected?
2 Is the space occupied by the deleted partition
reallocated to the C drive, and is it usable again?

Thanks

Mike

The only way you can create, delete, resize or merge existing partitions,
and not harm your existing Windows installation, is to purchase and use
a third-party partitioning program such as Partition Magic 8.

The alternative is to perform a "clean install" of Windows XP:

Thanks for reply. You have, unfortunately confirmed what
I suspected. Ohwell, it's off to the PC shop.
