Hi,
After trying to install a wireless card in a laptop and a D-Link Broadband
Router in a network I found I was given the wrong card. The computer shop
gave me the correct card and told me to uninstall anything I did with the
incorrect one. The incorrect one was not a D-Link card. It was given to me
by an inexperienced employee.
I thought it would be a simple thing, just use Add/Remove programs, but
there is nothing there and I can't seem to find anything to remove. So I
went ahead and installed the drivers and the card now works. I have
wireless internet on my laptop.
But in the little icon in the tray it shows 2 networks, Nework 1 inactive
and Network 2 Active.
I would just like to remove everything related to this (No.1) and reinstall
the network fresh but how can I make sure "network 1" is gone, and also I
have concerns I might have messed with something that could later compromise
security while I was _desparately trying everything_ for hours on end trying
to make the wrong card work.
Any ideas please?
