Deletin Temp. files

Have just realized that my computer is serviced by a family friend and if he
checks my temporary files he might find some 'embarassing' ones! Is there
any way I can permanently delete them and save family humiliation? Yes I do
feel suitably stupid posting this question!
 
Hi,

Yes, just open the folder and delete the files, then stay away from those
sites. You might want to also check the cookies, as there are likely to be
some remnants there as well. You should do this for each user profile. Then
empty the recycle bin.

Frankly, unless I'm asked, I don't have the time to go poking about each
machine I service for family members. The exception to that was when my
wife's uncle specifically asked me to check into what his 15 yr. old
grandson was doing. After cleaning out the numerous trojans and diallers
that he had also downloaded from the various porn sites, I spent a bit of
time locking the system down.

Hi ... Do the following

Click Start. >>Open My Computer. Select the Tools menu and click Folder
Options. Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and
folders. Uncheck the Hide protected
operating system files (recommended) option. Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.
DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE WARNING POP UP WINDOW THIS IS NORMAL , just click
yes , afterward once the files are remove? Just place the check mark
back again, remember do this at the end after you reboot your computer
at the end...
Now its time to start your computer in Safe Mode
How to start up in safe mode , there is 2 ways in doing so , just
choice one method only ... Look at this website below

Okay once in safe mode do the following : Clear out the Temporary
internet files and other temp files.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >Internet Options.
Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files,
delete all Offline content as well. Clear out Cookies ... Now close
eveything and be back at your desktop
Now click the start buttom > then the Search/Find option > click Files
or folders > in the named box, type: *.tmp , click search afterward
choose Edit > select all -> File > delete.
Empty/delete the entire contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and
C:\temp folder, (Contents only but not the folder itself.)
This one too if it is there C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Temp\
Delete the recycling bin ...

Get and use ccleaner: www.ccleaner.com

this will be of considerable help. Log in to each user account and run it
to be sure you get all the temporary file folder sets.

Re the embarrassing aspect - are you talking about temp Internet files????
Thos I can imagine would be a cause for concern.
Or are you meaning the two sets of temp files in Windows?
