Hi,
I was trying to help an user to delete some user profiles in his machine
as they were taking up much space. Using User Profiles under Systems
Properties (W2K), I deleted other users' profiles including some Unkown
Account profiles.
After doing so, I noticed part of her existing profile in C:\Documents and
Settings
was deleted. What's left were "Application Data" folder, "Cookies" folder,
"Local Settings" folder, NTuser.data and NTuser.data.log. When I checked for
her Outlook PST file in C:\Documents and Settings\user_profile\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft, the Outlook folder was gone. So was her
PST file.
I've tried using 3rd party file recovery software, it did manage to recover
the deleted parts of her profile. But when i look inside the Outlook folder,
we only found
one PST file which was not the one he needs.
Can someone advise how to undelete deleted user profiles or alternative
methods
to recover deleted files?
Thanks you.
