that didn't work so my big thought was to start to delete .dll files because
the antivirus was doing it.
?!?! Not smart. The anti-virus app wasn’t just randomly and blindly deleting
files.
How do i get all the .dll files back that i need.
What do you mean by delete? Are the files still in the Recycle Bin? If so, then
Select-All, Restore.
well now i've lost a ton of abilities.
I would think so. Have you rebooted since then? I doubt it, otherwise Windows
would barely be able to start up.
i would try that if i could. it seems that i've deleted more then i
should've. the bottom bar with the start button on is i covered up and i
can't see it.
Covered with what? Press the Win key on the keyboard to bring up the taskbar.
is there a way i can go through dos and undo all the deleting that i did?
With DOS? No. Do you even have DOS? Maybe you were referring to the command
prompt. In that case, still no. If you deleted the files (not just sent them to
the Recycle Bin), then you need an undelete app, but of course you can’t install
it on the drive with the deleted files, and even then, you’re highly unlikely to
get them all back.
If you’re lucky, you may still have the files in the cache or have a System
Restore checkpoint. Of course System Restore probably won’t work if you’ve
deleted half of Windows, and if the Windows File Protection hasn’t already
kicked in to restore them, then either the file cache is empty, or you’ve
already killed enough of Windows to cripple its self-repairing function. Try the
SFC command suggested, maybe you’ll get lucky.
