I am running Windows XP Home Edition.
Deleted "Free History Cleaner" through ADD/REMOVE program.
This also removed it from the "ALL PROGRAMS" list.
PROBLEM: After I restart computer, the icon for "Free History Cleaner"
appears in the Task Bar. To remove it, I click Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then
remove it from the Task Manager. If I do not remove it, then it stops my
computer from displaying any new window for about one second.

Can anyone tell me how to permanently remove it from appearing in the Task
Bar? Please give step-by-step instructions. I do not have formal computer
training or trouble shooting expertise!

Thanks in advance for any help. I am a senior citizen but not senile!

Ralph.

Some third party junk,as you used, wont delete all even after add/remove,it
still in the system. However, untill you reinstall xp,or edit the registry,etc..ope
control-panel,start/task bar icon,in task bar,locate the unwanted,R.click,select
never view this icon, then close-out,restart computer, done ! XP has its ow
history deleter, but you didnt ask for that info.
