I have had a few machines still getting an old gpo that I deleted awhile
ago. How could it still be floating around in my AD and how do I make sure
its gone from all my OUs that I was applied to? Thanks for the the info.

Jason,

Were these settings applied through normal Group Policy
selections or was a custom ADM used? Group Policy is
applied to four places:
a. KKLM\Software\Policies
b.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol
icies
c. HKCU\Software\Policies
d.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows|CurrentVersion\Pol
icies

These settings are applied on startup/logon and
removedduring logoff/shutdown.

If the settings you see were applied through a GPO with a
custom ADM, those changes may have been written to
another part of the registry and are "tattooed"
(Technicall preferences and not policies).

If yoou only unlinked the policy and did not delete it
completely, you may be able to recover the settings to
see what was changed.

A couple other thoughts. Is the GPO linked at any other
level? Or, are the same settings part of any other GPO?

Something else.

Perhaps replication is broke in a multiple DC domain.

Try typing Set L on a client and see who the Logon server is. Check that
server to see if the policy exists.
