Deleted "My Documents" icon from desktop

A user on our systems deleted their "my documents" icon
from the desk top. The folder remains in their user
profile on the c drive.

How do I restore the icon to the desktop, the advanced tab
in taskbar/menus does not do the trick.

An easy way:
Open Windows explorer
In the left pane, drag the "My Documents" folder to
the "Desktop"
Rename/Remove the words "Shortcut to" from the new shortcut

Tools Menu
Folders Options
View tab
Check the box "Show My Documents on Desktop"

Run...
Type regsvr32 mydocs.dll
Press [Enter]
Restart the computer
