Deleted messages

In Outlook, can an individual messages that was completely deleted out of all folders be retrieved from backup? A full backup was peformed the previous day using Backup Exec and should theoretically still be there. Also, we're running Exchange 2000? Thanks.
 
Can you restore the mailbox to a file? From there you should be able to find
the message.
