At this point I really don't know exactly what I did. I might have
'synchronized' a newsgroup ... or not, but all the messages have gone and
nothing I've tried can get them back. I'm using Windows Mail under Vista
Home Premium. (The news group in question is microsoft.public.mail.misc but
the traffice is very slow there so I thought I'd post here.)

I've removed the newsgroup, added it again ... nothing. Suggestions?

Thanks, DH

Ignore the above message. Windows Mail managed to recover those messages
and I have no idea what happened.

Sorry.

You just need to do a reset which will download all the headers and message
bodies again. Right click on the NG name, choose Properties and click on
Local File tab. Click reset and that should do the trick.

Rob, thanks, if this happens again, I'll now know what to do. DH
