Hi guys, was copying some images into a folder on my D drive and went
to delete them off my camera card afterwards. For some reason the
delete command deleted all images, not just the ones I'd copied.

There's no "undo" option except the copy one. The pics are not in my
recycle bin. Where would they have gone?

I haven't used Windows clipboard since and the card is still in its
slot.

Please help me recover these images?

Thanks in advance,
Jo

A very good way to proceed would be to use dd to copy the entire card
contents to a file. Once that is done, you can loop mount the image on a
Linux Live CD and recover all the data at leisure without fear of data
loss.

Hmm, I understood about three words out of all of that. Thanks for
your interest though.

Managed to talk another poster through it a month or so ago. Let me know
if you want help.

Hi,

I had a similar problem, with wedding pix, and freeware = no help. I
bought a software called eIMAGE recovery, and it recovered 34 of my 37
images. I then bought a portable AA NiMH battery operated (and A.C.)
CD-R burner unit called EZDigiMagic. You insert a camera memory card
into the unit, plus batteries and a blank CD-R, and press a button. It
quickly burns all your pix onto a CD-R. If the pix are too many for one
CD-R, the unit's LCD screen will "talk" you through multiple CD-Rs until
the job is finished.

It is a very secure feeling to have your pix burned onto a CD-R,
especially when on the road. A wiped out card then becomes a minor nuisance.

Good luck.
