cHi. I accidentally deleted the iexplore.exe file from my computer, so now I have no way to connet to the Internet. I do have DSL, but without the iexplore file I have no browser. I have XP and would like to connect just long enough to download IE . . . any suggestions?

I don't want to order the disc and wait 3 weeks, and I have no dial-up connection software on my computer.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Have you checked the Recycle Bin? If you just deleted it by either
highlighting and choosing delete from the File menu or by right clicking and
choosing delete, it should be in the Recycle Bin. While we're on the
subject, how the hell could you accidentally delete the Internet Explorer
executable? You would have to navigate to C:\Program Files\Internet
Explorer\iexplore.exe and do one of the above actions. You can't do that by
accident.

Have you tried to get the file off the XP install CD? You can stick the
disk in and navigate to the file. You should be able to copy and paste it
into the Internet Explorer folder.

See you've posted this twice; I've answered your first post, but here it is
again:

Are you sure it was iexplore.exe or maybe just a shortcut to it?
Start>find>files and
folders>iexplore.

Otherwise, use a friends PC who has a CD burner. Go to Windows Downloads
page. Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1. It is the most popular #1 download
on that page.
Below is the link for the direct download of Internet Explorer

File Name: ie6setup.exe
