I deleted Internet Explorer by accident during a disk clean up. I am not sure how to get it back. I tried to load the software that I have for the PC, but it doesn't work. I am not finding the general download on the web to get it back that way

You may have just deleted the IE icon. Try the following:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select NEW > SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut box type:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" , and click Next.
3. Type in a name for the shortcut, such as Internet Explorer, then click Finish.
4. A convenient shortcut to Internet Explorer will appear on your Desktop.

Hi Danielle,

If you cannot find ie by going to Start > Run and typing iexplore.exe
then try this:

Copy and paste the following line to the Start > Run prompt, it will
try to reinstall IE and the routine will need the XP CD.

rundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %systemroot%\inf\ie.inf

Alternatively, the routine will ask for diverse files, go to a command
prompt (Start > Run > cmd) and type
dir name_of_file_needed /s (Example dir iesinfo5.ins /s)
This will tell you the location of the file, browse to that path and
click retry.
You will have to do this for 5 or 6 files, which can be bothersome.
But it can also be reinstalled without the CD.

Hope this helps

Carey,
Where in the heck can I download a full version of Internet Explorer 6?
I can find plenty of IE6 SP1 updates, but for the life of me I can't find a
full version.
