several files are get restored after i have deleted them or created
them new with 0kB size and then reboot my computer. that means: file -
delete - reboot - file has old content.
the files are "mailfolders" in thunderbird, only a few "mailfolders"
get restored.
i am not sure whether this is a thunderbird or windows problem.
spy/ad-ware scanner and my virus scanner don't find viruses and such...

any idea?

This sometimes happens with roaming profiles in a domain environment.
It will also happen if the user created startup batch files with the
specific aim of restoring files. Check your machine for the existence
of duplicate files - the restored files don't come out of thin air, they
must be stored somewhere else too!

thanxs so far,
i'll look for the files. but my computer is not a domain-member, just
stand-alone (maybe workgroup-member).
