I deleted a file in a server location on my XP run
computer and I need it back but can't find it.

Did you check the Recycle Bin? Did you run "Search" for

the file by name? If you deleted it, it is very likely
gone for good. There are 3rd party programs available,
some are free to retrieve deleted files. Below is a

If you delete a file/folder via the network the data is usually lost
because it will not go into the Recycle Bin. You could go for a data
recovery software to check if the file can be recovered on the Server.
