I accidently deleted a file off my desktop as well as from the Recyle Bin.
Is there anyway that I can get the file back?

Shut down the system NOW , do not start it again till you have data recovery
software. Any use willl reduce chances of recovery. Best results will be
if you install the recovery software on another system, and attach your
drive to that, and scan from there. Be sure to immediately shut System
REstore OFF for that drive - you want nothing at all written to the drive.

Recover the file to the host system.

Shut the machine down ***AT ONCE*** !

Install a data recovery software on **ANOTHER** machine...
then slave your drive to that one and run the utility.

Note: if you install the data recovery software on the machine you've got
the data on...
the very act of installing the software could over-write your data

"Deleting" a file doesn't actually delete it; it just marks the space
as available to be used. There are third-party programs that can
sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
the file is likely to become overwritten very quickly, and this makes
the file unrecoverable.

So your chances of successfully recovering this file are decent if you
try recovering it immediately after deleting it, and rapidly go
downhill from there. If you've been using the computer since then (for
example to write this question and read this answer), your chances are
probably very poor by now.

But if the file is important enough, it's worth a try anyway. Stop
using the computer in question immediately, if you haven't done so
already. Download an undelete program (here's one:
http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html but there are several
others to choose from; do a Google search) on a friend's computer and
bring it to yours on a floppy to try.

If this fails, your only other recourse is to take or send the drive
to a professional file recovery company. This kind of service is very
expensive and may or may not work in your case.

Recovery of deleted files files can be recovered by using data
recovery software unless it is overwritten or didn't got corrupted.
you can try Stellar Phoenix File Recovery Software. This File Recovery
Software scans every sector of your storage media for the lost files
that you wish to recover and displays them in a tree according to the
file type. The recovery software scans the drive in raw mode and can
locate the files without the aid of file system data structures.
