While doing some electronic house cleaning, some idiot(Ok, it was me) deleted
a number of desktop application files. Here's the dilemma. I don't know
exactly how many/what type of files I deleted, sothat I can't simply go to
the installation Cd and restore them. I can only infer what I've lost
from the non-functioning of certain desktop elements - e.g. no help & support
page, only getting the theme tab in the display properties dialog box.
While I can access the cab. files from the "expand file" option in
the system configuration utility, and restore files that way, it's tough to
know where to start looking, when you're a) not sure exactly what you've lost
and b) where to find the files that will restore such functions.
