I have Outlook 2003 and for some reason, contacts that are deleved, do not
show up in the Deleted Items folder.

However, if I delete a contact from an Archived Contacts list, they do go to
the deleted items folder!

Can anyone help?

Make sure you are in the Folder List view of the Navigation Pain. Then go
have a look at what's happening. Still not there??

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!

I figured out a solution. I tried changing the view, etc., but that didn't
help. Then I looked at the Properties of the Deleted Items folder and found
that I had checked "Archive items in this folder..." under the AutoArchive
tab. When I unchecked this and went back to the Delete Items folder, now any
contacts deleted did show up there. Seems to me there aught to be a warning
from Microsoft that this will happen written next to the "Archive Items..."
button.

Hey Walter - stop checking buttons without checking the consequences ;)
