Well you could take the time to check the options in OE. How about
checking the security options? Bet you'll find a setting there but you
do have to look.

There is a HUGE difference between the attachments getting deleted and
having *access* to them denied. Are the attachments actually deleted,
or does OE simply say ACCESS has been denied? I can change the locks on
my house to bar your access to it. That doesn't mean my house got
razed.

Note that you should post inquiries regarding a specific product to a
newsgroup for that particular product, if one exists (and it does). If
you still cannot figure out how to set your options to permit *access*
to the attachments then repost to a newsgroup for Outlook Express which
is a component of Internet Explorer.

They are not actually deleted but blocked from opening. This was done because of the
huge amount of viruses and worms propagated via email attachments. You can change
this behavior two ways - either allow all attachments or modify the unsafe file list.
See the links below on how to do such. I would not recommend either until you have an
antivirus program installed that is up to date and scans all emails. Many of the
affected attachments will appear to come from people you know or other supposedly
trusted sources. --- Steve
